The fertility field is getting better at delivering result
The global IVF landscape is evolving rapidly—and the latest data shows progress is measured not only by growth, but by better clinical outcomes.
According to the latest ICMART World Report published in Human Reproduction (2025), covering data from 83 countries:
- Reported ART cycles increased from 2.9 million in 2017 to over 3.3 million in 2018.
- Frozen embryo transfer (FET) increased from <39% in 2014 to nearly 58% in 2018, reflecting growing confidence in vitrification.
- The use of Preimplantation Genetic Testing (PGT) increased nearly fivefold, supporting more informed embryo selection.
- Multiple pregnancy rates continued to decline, driven by improved embryo selection and wider adoption of single embryo transfer.
For IVF professionals, the message is clear: evidence-based protocols and continuous innovation continue to improve reproductive outcomes worldwide.
